Get a head start on your Convention experience with pre-convention education designed to expand your knowledge, connect you with fellow coaches, and maximize your time onsite.

Sessions begin online before Convention and conclude in person on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, giving you the opportunity to start learning before you arrive and continue the experience in Kansas City!

 

High School Diploma

High School Diploma — Built for High School Coaches 

Designed specifically for coaches leading high school and secondary school soccer programs, the High School Diploma focuses on the unique challenges and responsibilities of the high school environment—from player development and team management to building culture, planning, and creating effective training sessions. 

The course includes virtual calls leading up to the 2027 United Soccer Coaches Convention, with the diploma experience completed onsite in Kansas City, Missouri, January 20–23, 2027. 

 Convention registration is required for this course – Course registration is $125, in addition to Convention registration.

Applied Individual and Team Speed

Game Speed: A Holistic Approach to Developing Faster Soccer Players and Teams
Explore how to develop speed that translates directly to the game. This diploma examines player needs, game demands, and practical frameworks for speed development—then puts it into action through planning, classroom learning, and on-field application at Convention.
Registration is $125 and can be added to your Convention registration or completed separately through the United Soccer Coaches membership platform here.

Goalkeeping 2

Designed for specialist goalkeeping coaches and coaches seeking to expand their expertise, the Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma dives deeper into the demands of the position. Coaches will gain practical tools, insights, and strategies to create effective learning environments and support goalkeeper development at every stage.
*Goalkeeping 1 is a prerequisite for this course. Complete Goalkeeping 1 today at UnitedSoccerCoaches.org/Education.

Pre-Convention Diploma FAQ

  • What are Pre-Convention Diplomas? Pre-Convention Diplomas are focused educational experiences designed to provide an in-depth look at specific topics within the coaching landscape. They give you early access to education, beginning online before Convention and concluding onsite on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, so you can start learning before you arrive and enhance your overall Convention experience
  • How do I receive a Pre-Convention Diploma? Complete the Pre-Convention Diploma by attending all required pre-convention webinars and the onsite sessions on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, in Kansas City.
  • Can I receive more than one? Due to overlapping session times, each attendee may complete the requirements for one Pre-Convention Diploma.
  • Do Pre-Convention Diplomas cost extra? Yes. Each Pre-Convention Diploma is $125 and requires registration.
  • Do I have to register for the Convention in order to register for a course? Convention registration is not required for the Pre-Convention Diplomas, with the exception of the High School Diploma, which does require Convention registration.
  • How do I access the webinars before Convention? Webinar links will be sent directly by the instructors the morning of each scheduled session.
  • Am I required to attend the webinars before Convention? Yes. The pre-convention webinars are a required part of the diploma experience. If you’re unable to attend a scheduled webinar, please let the instructor know in advance, and they can assist with a recording if needed. 

  • When do I receive my Pre-Convention Diploma? After the Convention, the Education Team will update United Soccer Coaches profiles with Pre-Convention Diplomas. Please allow time for processing, with diplomas expected to appear in accounts by February 15, 2027.
