Kansas City works as a phenomenal host for the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Convention. Some call Kansas City the Soccer Capital of America and the Midwest destination is in the running for being a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The city is also home to the United Soccer Coaches National Office. The Convention Center, hotels, restaurants, and nightlife are all located within walking distance of each other. Kansas City public transit alternative, the KC Streetcar, also offers free trips up and down the city’s main street offering a warm, and quick alternative to walking.

Kansas City International (KCI or MCI) Airport is located just 15 miles northwest of Downtown Kansas City. At Kansas City Airport, travelers have the following transport options available:
Taxi: Get to Kansas City in just 25 minutes by taxi. Taxis wait outside the baggage claim area of every terminal.
Rideshare: Kansas City is rideshare friendly. You can use your Uber or Lyft app on your mobile phone to schedule a ride to and from the airport.

January in the Midwest is known to be cold! Take advantage of downtown Kansas City’s free (and warm) public transportation service the KC Streetcar. Running from the River Market on the north end to Union Station and Crown Center on the south, KC Streetcar connects all the downtown neighborhoods with 16 platform stops and 2 miles of track.
